Dress Code

We want all our guests to feel their best throughout the weekend, part of that is playing dress up! Below you will find vision boards for the weekend to help guide your packing!

Don’t forget the lake has tons of fun outdoors activities to do, so be sure to bring your bathing suit, hiking boots, and comfy clothes to enjoy the sights!

Welcome Drinks and Dinner

The welcome party is semi-formal. For men, think dress pants, a button up, and a sports jacket. For women, think tea-length, knee-length, or midi cocktail dress; slip dresses; dressy jumpsuit; or nice pants and a blouse.

We recommend you skip the stilettos in favor of block heels, wedges, or flats due to the wood floors and grassy yard at the yacht club. We ask that you avoid any colors traditionally reserved for the bride - whites, ivories, creams, etc.

Wedding Ceremony, Reception, and Dinner

The wedding ceremony and reception are formal attire. We want our guests to get dressed up for our celebration and feel their best for our special day! For men, this is suit and tie. For women, this would be midi or floor length dresses.

We recommend you skip the stilettos in favor of block heels, wedges, or flats due to the wood floors and grassy yard at the yacht club.

We ask that you avoid any colors traditionally reserved for the bride - whites, ivories, creams, etc. All those involved in the wedding, such as the bridesmaids and family, will be wearing shades of blue.

One-Day Anniversary Brunch

The brunch is smart casual. For men, think dress pants or khakis paired with a collared shirt. For women,  think tea-length, knee-length, or midi dress or nice pants and a blouse.

We recommend you skip the stilettos in favor of block heels, wedges, or flats due to the wood floors and grassy yard at the yacht club. We ask that you avoid any colors traditionally reserved for the bride - whites, ivories, creams, etc.

Weather

Our wedding will take place outside in late September. Although we cannot predict the weather, in Garrett County, MD you can expect September to be  anywhere between 60°F  (15°C) to 80°F (27°C) during the day and in the 40s (4°C) to 60s (15°C) during evening hours. Hopefully, it won’t be too chilly, but be prepared with jackets/sweaters/coats as an option. We are hoping for beautiful scenery and colors.
