GRAHAM HALSTEAD
Q & A
Are kids welcome throughout the weekend?
We love children, and we really love your kids! Children can join us at the welcome party and the one day anniversary brunch. Children will not be in attendance at the wedding itself. We know you all are traveling far and we have pre-arranged babysitting options available. Upon request, if you prefer to have a babysitter in your house or hotel room, we are able to assist and connect you with vetted people.

Can I bring a date/ +1?
We wish we could celebrate with everyone but we are only able to accommodate guests formally invited on the wedding invitation. If you received a plus one, they will appear with your name for the RSVP. Thank you for understanding!

What is the dress code?
The welcome party is semi-formal. For men, think dress pants, a button up, and a sports jacket. For women, think tea-length, knee-length, or midi cocktail dress; slip dresses; dressy jumpsuit; or nice pants and a blouse.

The wedding ceremony and reception are formal attire. We want our guests to get dressed up for our celebration and feel their best for our special day! For men, this is suit and tie. For women, this would be midi or floor length dresses. We recommend you skip the stilettos in favor of block heels, wedges, or flats due to the wood floors and grassy yard at the yacht club. We ask that you avoid any colors traditionally reserved for the bride - whites, ivories, creams, etc. All those involved in the wedding, such as the bridesmaids and family, will be wearing shades of blue.

The brunch is smart casual. For men, think dress pants or khakis paired with a collared shirt. For women, think tea-length, knee-length, or midi dress or nice pants and a blouse.

Can we take pictures with phones during the ceremony?
We are having an unplugged ceremony. We will have amazing photographers on the day of the wedding to take pictures and capture those wonderful moments. We want everyone to be present in the ceremony and be connected with us in the moment. However, outside of the ceremony, please feel free to take pictures, selfies, etc. during the cocktail hour, reception, and throughout the weekend!

What about the weather? Is the ceremony indoors or outdoors?
Our wedding will take place outside in late September. Although we cannot predict the weather, in Garrett County, MD you can expect September to be anywhere between 60°F (15°C) to 80°F (27°C) during the day and in the 40s (4°C) to 60s (15°C) during evening hours. Hopefully, it won’t be too chilly, but be prepared with jackets/sweaters/coats as an option. We are hoping for beautiful scenery and colors.
